www.fishonline.org- MSC web page helps to identify species which come from well managed sources and species which to avoid. Includes a species search engine.

www.msc.org- The Marine Stewardship Council are an independent, global, non profit organization. They have developed an environmental standard for well managed fishing and reward a blue label to sustainable fishing practices. Information includes where to buy well-managed fish, fish facts and recipes.

www.ukbap.org.uk - UK biodiversity action plans for species of conservation interest. Specifically a grouped action plan for commercial marine fish, includes information on current status, factors causing decline and future action.

www.cefas.co.uk/notakezones - The Centre for Environment, Fisheries & Aquaculture Science is an aquatic scientific research and consultancy centre. They aim to help in the conservation of the aquatic environment. Contains article ‘The case for no take zones’, March 1999, S. Jennings. Including information on no take zones and the ‘plaice box’.

www.jncc.gov.uk - The Joint Nature Conservation Committee is an advisor to the government on UK and international nature conservation. Includes information on no take zones.

www.panda.org - WWF is a global conservation organization. Its Global Marine Programme helps to provide solutions for the future also includes information on threatened species.

www.earthdive.com - Earthdive runs a global research project for recreational divers to log sightings of key indicator species. Includes marine news stories from around the globe.

www.ices.dk - The International Council for the Exploration of the Sea coordinates and promotes marine research in the North Atlantic. Includes links articles and publications on different species.

www.wildcatch.com - Wildcatch markets wild Alaskan sustainable salmon to co-ops, natural food stores and other retailers. Contains information on sustainable fishing and the MSC.

www.nasco.int - The North Atlantic Salmon Conservation Organization was established to promote the conservation, restoration, enhancement and rational management of salmon stocks in the North Atlantic. Includes annual reports, press releases and publications.

www.iccat.es - The International Commission for the Conservation of Atlantic Tunas is an inter-governmental fishery organization responsible for the conservation of tunas and tuna like species in the Atlantic Ocean. They coordinate research, develop management advice, compile statistics and produce publications.
