The Ordnance Survey Web Pages contain a wealth of information on mapping generally under their Educational pages. These tell you more about what digital mapping is, what Geographical Information Systems (GIS) are, how to understand the OS's National Grid and how to read maps and understand map scales. The OS Map Zone is also an interactive web site for young and not so young map users to explore.
