Celebrate
One Tide
on One Day around One World
because... We All Live Downstream |
LowTide
is a free annual inter-tidal festival. Our aim is to offer people the opportunity
to explore and celebrate local inter-tidal sites and other aspects of the sea
under expert guidance, using a combination of art and science.
- LowTide is held every year on the
Saturday in May with the lowest tide
- Since
1995, individuals and community groups all over the world have been joining forces
to put on Dicovery Walks and EcoFayres
-
Discovery Walks are interdisciplinary walks into inter-tidal areas, led by one
or more experienced guides
- EcoFayres
are larger, all day events offering a range of activities such as interactive
exhibitions, environmental games, touch tanks, art activities, storytelling, displays,
aquaria, parades, video animation and more. The target audience is children aged
7-12, and their parents or guardians
