Projects
Working in partnership with all sectors of the community to produce local, regional, national and international projects, including:
- LowTide ~ an annual environmental awareness day of events celebrated simultaneously at inter-tidal sites throughout England, plus sites in Europe, North America, Australia and Africa. A three year expansion programme was made possible through a grant from English Nature. In 2002, LowTide will be held on Saturday 25 May.
- Vanguard Way ~ a 2 year project funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund involving
a series of connecting footpaths which join up London with Seaford/Newhaven. The aim of the project is to work with local communities in the collection and dissemination of heritage and natural history observation along the Vanguard Way. The project runs in 2002-2003
- Translittoral ~ a trans-channel project with French photographer Tibo, formed to create an image bank and series of interviews illustrating the landscape and lives of people on both sides of the channel. Project includes a touring exhibition Coastal Portraits on both sides of the channel in 2001/2002.
- Sea, River & Woodland Discovery Days ~ taking school children and adults with and without physical and/or learning disabilities, into a river, seashore or woodland environment for a day of guided art & science based activities.
