How many Swans and Herons did we see?
Down at the Cuckmere me and my group saw 5 Herons and 7 Swans.

Information.
Herons and Swans have webbed feet. Swans like to eat all different kinds of bread. Herons like to eat different kinds of fish. Swans are the largest member of the duck family, with an all white plumage and long, graceful necks.

The Black Swans
Black Swans have bright red bills and black ugly feathers. Stephanie saw a Black Swan at the Cuckmere and told our group leader Stephanie's mum [Terry]. This Black Swan is unusual because you wouldn't see or find them at the Cuckmere. It must have been an escapee.

Herons
Herons fish at sea, and in rivers, you don't see them when it's busy but in a quiet place you do. Herons are tall wading birds with long necks, long legs and a long sharp bill nesting in colonies, usually in a tree. Herons feed on rodents and fish.
