Training and support

All volunteers receive
a general induction to the River Ocean Foundation, and
to the project their task will come under (if applicable).
This induction may take place on a one-to-one level
or as part of a group training session.

All volunteers receive
a clear verbal or written task outline

Any specific task related
training, if necessary, will be identified and discussed
with you and the project leader, and will be provided
by the project leader or other appointed person.

There will be regular
evaluation sessions with the volunteer coordinator,
during which you can voice any concerns or needs that
may have come to light.

We may also offer other
relevant training such as First Aid courses to all our
volunteers throughout the year.

We will support you in
developing your personal skills and new interests that
may come out of your volunteering with us, including
becoming a volunteer trainer.
